Rihanna overly sexual says Mel C

Former Spice Girl Mel C has taken a shot at pop superstar Rihanna for having a far too sexual image in both the videos and stage performances. Mel C has a young daughter and so perhaps it is not surprising that she has recently become more aware of how a pop star’s image may affect young girls. Staff at famous Glasgow escorts agency Lady Butterflies can understand her point of view but also love Rihanna’s onstage persona.

Speaking to the daily Mirror, Mel C said: "People have to take some responsibility because we've got to a point where the over-sexualisation of young children has gone too far. I think music is a big part of that. Women in music are extremely sexual and they have young fans. It is inappropriate.” Mel C has now seemingly retired from the music industry, but was once known for appearing in a well-known music video apparently smuggling two Maltesers in her vest top.

Mel believes that Rhianna would not act the way she does if she was more aware of how it impacts upon young girls; not being a mother herself may be affecting the way she acts at this point in time: "I love Rihanna, I think she's a f*****g brilliant artist, with great songs, a great record and she looks fantastic ... but she's not a mum. Maybe if she becomes one she'll feel different. I hope so anyway."

Mel also thinks that there is a big difference between how she and the other Spice Girls betrayed themselves and just how sexual industry has now become: “"It's a long time ago since the Spice Girls were first together and we were criticised for being sexual. Yes we wore crop tops…but we always sat down as a group and if somebody felt something was inappropriate for our young fans, we did something about it. I think that's something young people in the music industry today, like Rihanna, should do now."
